FLASS goes global at UKEC Study Abroad Fair 2026

Ms Dolores He from FLASS, together with Ms Jennifer Ho and Miss Charlotte Cheung from GAO, manage a booth at the fair.

To maintain a strong presence in the international education market, FLASS teamed up with the Global Affairs Office (GAO) to join the UKEC Study Abroad Fair 2026 on 11 January 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Organised by the admissions consultancy United Kingdom Education Centre (UKEC), the fair brought together over 40 universities from the UK, Ireland, Australia, Hong Kong and Macau, including the University of Macau, the University of Saint Joseph, Macao, The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and City University of Hong Kong.

Ms Dolores He Peiying from the faculty’s marketing team, together with Ms Jennifer Ho, Assistant Director of Global Affairs, and Miss Charlotte Cheung, Assistant Global Affairs Manager, International Team, hosted a booth at the exhibition. They handed out prospectuses and brochures, introduced details of our programmes and answered questions from interested visitors. The exhibition drew around 600 visitors, mainly Malaysian Chinese, Malaysian Indians and Malays.

Ms Dolores He explains the admissions requirements of our programmes to an interested visitor.

“From my observation, parents and students were more interested in programmes related to engineering, law, product design, medicine, dentistry and biomedical science—subjects currently not offered by our university. With that said, there were visitors who enquired about our programmes. Some visitors were so impressed that they submitted their applications at the booth,” Ms He remarked.

FLASS values opportunities to boost its brand through international education events such as the UKEC Study Abroad Fair 2026. Joining these events not only allows us to raise our profile and introduce our programmes to international students, it also offers valuable market insights into emerging trends in higher education and student preferences, which will inform future reviews of our strategic development plan.
